We are Unit 16 a team of 36 young people and four adult volunteers brought together from Scout groups across Cambridgeshire to attend the 26th World Scout Jamboree in Poland, 2027. Each of us was selected from over 100 applicants, which still feels incredible to say. When we first met, most of us didn’t know each other at all, but very quickly we began to grow into a real unit: a mix of personalities, strengths, nerves, excitement, and a shared sense of adventure.

In 2027, we’ll be travelling to Poland for the 26th World Scout Jamboree. For many of us as young people, this will be the first time we’ve ever travelled abroad without our families, and that makes this journey even more meaningful. It’s a chance to step outside our comfort zones, meet Scouts from all over the world, experience new cultures, and take part in something far bigger than ourselves.

In order to attend we each need to raise £3,500. Our fundraising store is a huge part of making that possible. Every badge, necker, and piece of merchandise you buy helps us get one step closer to representing Cambridgeshire on the world stage. Your support goes directly towards travel, training, equipment, and everything we need to prepare for this once‑in‑a‑lifetime experience. When you shop with us, you’re not just helping us raise money, you’re helping us grow in confidence, independence, and resilience.

Behind us are our four incredible adult volunteers, who guide us through every step of the journey. They’re the ones organising camps, planning activities, keeping us safe, and helping us build the skills we’ll need for the Jamboree such as teamwork, leadership, problem‑solving, and the ability to laugh when things get muddy, wet, or chaotic (which they often do).
