⛳ Glo Golf Social
We kicked off our latest Unit 16 meet‑up at Peterborough Library, and honestly, it felt like the start of something amazing! It was amazing to be back together as a whole Unit and to hear about some exciting information surrounding our Jamboree journey.
We began the social at Peterborough library where our Unit Leaders provided us with all the up to date information which included how we were going to travel to the World Scout Jamboree.
The best moment was getting our Cambridgeshire Nucleotides neckers and badges, along with our official UK neckers. This moment started to make the whole journey feel official and exciting with our own unit identity.
Once we’d finished the info session (and taken about a million photos of our new neckers), we headed out for the fun part of the day at Glo Golf.
🌌 Space‑Themed Mini golf and interactive darts
Walking into Glo Golf felt like stepping into another universe. Everything glowed, the walls, the clubs, even some of us under the lights. We split into groups for a round of crazy golf, and the competition got very real, very quickly. The space theme made everything look incredible, and half the time we were laughing too much to even aim properly.
After golf, we moved on to darts, but not just normal darts, interactive darts. There was a whole selection of different games that we could make the most of. The whole social was a brilliant opportunity to get to know our other unit members within a relaxed environment.
💬 The Best Part? Being Together Again
As fun as the activities were, the real highlight was simply being with everyone again. Catching up, sharing updates, and bonding as a Unit a head of our amazing adventure!
It wasn’t just a meet‑up, it felt like the next step in our journey to the 26th World Scout Jamboree. And if this day is anything to go by, we’re in for an unforgettable adventure.
